Brent Money is a sixth-generation Greenville, Texas resident who earned a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2001 and a law degree from Southern Methodist University in 2006. He is an attorney and business owner who owns Money Law & Title and has served on the Greenville City Council. Money was first elected to the Texas House in the special election in 2024, defeating incumbent Jill Dutton in a contested 2024 primary runoff, and then again in the 2024 general election with 80.6% of the vote over Democrat Kristen Washington. He ran unopposed in the March 2026 Republican primary.
Money is a Greenville resident with legal and business expertise. He previously served on the Greenville City Council and owns a law and title company. His political career began with the 2023 special election following Bryan Slaton's resignation. Despite losing the special election runoff to Jill Dutton in January 2024, Money defeated Dutton in the March 2024 primary with 56.9% of the vote, then won the general election with 80.6% over Democrat Kristen Washington.
