Dan McQueen is a former Mayor of Corpus Christi and U.S. Navy veteran running as an Independent. He is an engineer with advanced degrees in professional aeronautics and computer information systems. McQueen served as a rescue swimmer with the Navy and worked as a lead engineer with Air Force One, as well as senior positions with major aerospace and defense contractors including Sikorsky Aircraft, Raytheon, United Technologies, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and General Dynamics. He is running for both Texas' 27th and 21st Congressional Districts in 2026.

McQueen was elected Mayor of Corpus Christi in November 2016 after running as a political outsider, defeating incumbent Nelda Martinez. He served for only 37 days before resigning. He has made multiple runs for Congress since then, including unsuccessful bids in 2020, 2022, and 2024, and is running in both the 27th and 21st Congressional Districts in 2026.
