Diana Onyejiaka, a Nashville-based consultant and professor, informed the Federal Election Commission that she was setting up a Senate campaign committee. Through her consulting firm, DC Consult International, she helped organize the U.S.-Africa Business Opportunities and Exchange Conference with Tennessee State University's Africana Studies Program. She earned a bachelor's degree and a master's in public administration from TSU and later earned a law degree at Southern University Law Center.
