Jamie Davis is a third-generation Louisiana farmer and small-business owner from Waterproof in Tensas Parish in northeast Louisiana. He is a member of the Louisiana Democratic State Central Committee after running for State Representative in District 21 in 2023. Davis owns and operates Davis Farms, a 2,000+ acre operation founded by his father in 1977, producing sorghum, corn, soybeans, and cotton on land that includes acreage once worked by his grandfather as a sharecropper. He was elected Police Juror for District 7 in Tensas Parish in 2015 and served four years, including as Vice President of the Police Jury.
Jamie Davis was born in Houston, Texas, but returned to Louisiana as a child and attended public schools before enrolling at Louisiana State University to study electrical engineering. He inherited and operates Davis Farms in Tensas Parish, continuing his family's farming legacy. The farm, founded by his father in 1977, includes acreage once worked by his grandfather as a sharecropper. Davis is deeply rooted in northeast Louisiana agriculture and community service. He served as Police Juror and now serves on the state Democratic committee. He is married to Brenda and lives in Ferriday near his children and grandchildren.
