Sarah Huckabee Sanders is the 47th Governor of Arkansas and the first woman to hold the office. Born August 13, 1982, in Hope, Arkansas, she is the daughter of former Governor Mike Huckabee and has extensive experience in Republican politics, having served as White House Press Secretary for President Donald Trump from 2017 to 2019. She is a former Fox News contributor and author. Currently 43 years old, Sanders is the youngest governor in the country and is running for her second term in 2026.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas, the youngest of three children and only daughter of former Governor Mike Huckabee and Janet McCain Huckabee. She attended Little Rock Central High School and graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in political science. She has been involved in Republican politics since childhood, working on her father's campaigns. She married Bryan Sanders in 2010 and has three children (Scarlett, William, and George). Before becoming governor, she worked as a political consultant, managed campaigns, and served as White House Press Secretary under Trump.
