Tanya Lloyd is a public school teacher with more than two decades of classroom experience in a Title I school district in rural Texas. She is a lifelong resident and fifth-generation Texan from Lockhart, Texas, where she still lives on the family farm her parents built using her father's VA benefits. After working in car dealerships and real estate, Lloyd became a nontraditional student in her early 30s, earning a bachelor's degree in education. She has served on school district advisory and bond oversight committees and is an active member of the Texas American Federation of Teachers (Texas AFT). Lloyd previously ran unsuccessfully against Cloud in 2024, losing the general election.
