Hannah Pingree, daughter of U.S. Representative Chellie Pingree, is the former Speaker of the Maine House of Representatives (2008-2010) and most recently served as director of Governor Mills' Office of Policy Innovation and the Future (GOPIF). Pingree has raised the most money of any Democratic gubernatorial candidate ($1.4+ million as of January 2026) and represents the technocratic, policy-focused wing of the Democratic field. She has worked on housing, health care, and climate issues during her tenure in the Mills administration.
