Troy Jackson is the former President of the Maine Senate (2018-2024) and a candidate for Maine's 2nd congressional district in 2014. Jackson has positioned himself as a populist-progressive candidate and has received endorsements from U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders and Maine labor organizations. He represents a more confrontational, class-focused approach to governance compared to the more technocratic Democratic candidates.
